Who I Am

Hello! I am glad you are here. My name is Alyse La Monte. At 5 years old I dressed up as a nurse for Halloween. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized being a nurse was my calling, not just a costume I wore as a kid. I've worked in healthcare for over 15 years and as a nurse in a variety of settings. 

My years working in the Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse ignited my passion for increased access to mental health care. In the ICU, I experienced first hand what untreated mental health can mean from chronic medical issues, substance abuse, and poor outcomes. Additionally, I have seen what mental and behavioral support can help people achieve. I love forming long term relationships to improve patients' lives.

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I understand that life is messy. Life can be hard. Being authentically there for my patients is the core of my practice.
